J Vincent Limited

About us

Clean energy innovations transforming rural farming across Africa

Our Story

J-Vincent was born out of a simple idea: rural African farmers deserve more than sympathy they deserve tools that work. We are a grassroots innovation collective using clean energy technology to solve problems of rural poverty, unemployment, and malnutrition.

We’ve seen farmers, especially women, youth, and people living with disabilities, working day and night yet losing too much. Chicks die on the road from far-away hatcheries, transport costs eat up their small profits, and old tools make it hard to compete.

We started J-Vincent to change this. Our solar, briquette, and biogas-powered machines are designed for villages. They work without unreliable grid electricity, are affordable, and can be repaired locally.

One of our biggest goals is to improve and multiply our strong local poultry breeds. These birds are hardy, adapt well to local conditions, and are loved by consumers for their taste. But because farmers don’t have access to modern hatching and breeding technology, these breeds grow in small numbers and take longer to produce. With our smart incubators, farmers can now hatch more local breed chicks in less time producing up to 200–300 healthy chicks per cycle per cooperative member and multiplying flocks several times faster than traditional methods.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Delivering clean energy-powered solutions, local production, and hands-on training to transform agriculture across Africa starting with poultry and expanding into broader innovations to reduce transport losses by up to 70% and empower 1 million smallholder households by 2030.

We began with poultry but are expanding into other agritech innovations because every farmer deserves technology that works for them, not against them.

Localizing hatcheries and using solar, briquette, and biogas power, we reduce travel losses by up to 60%, cut pollution from transport, and help farmers earn up to more than twice their usual income. For local breeds, this means stronger, healthier flocks, faster multiplication, and more money in farmers’ pockets.

Our Vision

A future where every smallholder farmer in Africa has access to clean, reliable agritech to grow food, earn income, and build dignity.

How We Create Impact

1️⃣ Design & Build Clean Energy Agritech

We create affordable, solar, briquette, and biogas-powered machines built to last and tailored for rural communities.

2️⃣ Train & Empower Farmers

Through hands-on training, mentorship, and tools, we equip women, youth, and persons with disabilities with skills to succeed in modern farming.

3️⃣ Strengthen Cooperatives

Farmers work together in cooperatives, sharing resources and markets, reducing risks, and increasing bargaining power for better returns.

4️⃣ Measure Impact & Scale Solutions

We track real results—lower losses, higher incomes, healthier flocks—and replicate successful models to reach more households across Africa.

Be Part of the Change

Support our mission to empower 1 million smallholder households by 2030.
