Realities on Ground
Smallholder farmers produce about one-third of the world’s food (FAO, 2023).
In Sub-Saharan Africa, agriculture employs 65–70% of the population (World Bank)
In Nigeria, 10–15 million households keep poultry (FAO, 2022), yet over 95% of day-old chicks come from urban hatcheries causing 40–60% losses during transport (FAO, WOAH).
J-Vincent’s pilot trained 1000+ farmers (35% women, 15% persons with disabilities), cutting chick mortality by 40% and increasing incomes by 200%.
